Our story
Seventy-five years in the same three counties
Applebee Electric opened in 1951, when Fort Pierce was still a citrus and fishing town and much of the county west of US 1 was grove land waiting on a service drop. The work back then was wiring new houses, packing houses and irrigation pumps, and two of those three are still on the schedule most weeks.
The company has stayed in the family through three generations, which is the reason the range never narrowed. A contractor that has been called out to groves, storefronts, mobile home parks and waterfront houses for seventy-five years ends up knowing how each of them fails, and what the inspector in each county is going to look at first.
What has changed is the load. A 1960s block house was wired for a window unit and a television. Now it has a heat pump, a pool pump, a lanai full of lighting and a car in the garage that wants a circuit of its own. Most of our residential work starts there, with a panel that was honest about the house it was built for.
We are fully insured. State certified electrical contractor EC0002956. Work is performed to meet or exceed N.E.C. standards, estimates on new installations are free, and emergency calls are answered 24 hours.
